Skin ageing is inevitable. As our age advances, our skin gradually deteriorates. We lose moisture, volume and elasticity resulting in dull, dry, thinning and more fragile skin. Healing or regeneration slows down. We get bruised easily. Fine lines, wrinkles and pores become more evident. Thus, it’s recommended to start anti-aging treatment early. With current advanced technology, delaying the ageing process is no longer an impossibility.

PDRN is the latest anti-ageing and skin healing treatment from South Korea. It contains Polynucleotide (PN), an upgraded form of Polydeoxyribonucleotide, which has a remarkable ability to aid regeneration of skin and tissues. PDRN has long been used as a tissue repair-stimulating agent for several dermatological conditions, such as ulcers and burns.

In recent studies published in the 2016 International Journal of Molecular Sciences, Korean doctors discovered that patients receiving intradermal PDRN demonstrated improvements in their pigmentation and overall complexion whitening.

How can it help my skin?

PDRN is a vital ingredient not found in regular skincare. By incorporating this essential component into your skin, you will kick start your skin’s regeneration process. This will reverse some age-related changes as well as optimize your skin health to better withstand future assaults, so that you have the best defense against accelerated ageing caused by environment and lifestyle factors.

How is the treatment administered?

The skin is initially cleansed and numbing cream is applied. PDRN is placed in the inner skin layer by a series of micro-injections located about 1cm apart. This enables enhanced penetration of PDRN into the dermis.

Is the treatment painful?

Numbing cream is applied prior to treatment to minimize any pain or discomfort. Local anesthesia painkiller may be added to the PN/PDRN to reduce discomfort further. The entire procedure is very tolerable.

What are the side effects of this treatment?

Generally, PN is very gentle to the skin. Adverse reactions to this material is extremely rare. After the treatment, there may be minimal needle marks, redness or bruising but they will resolve within a few days. By the next day, clients can resume their makeup and return to normal activities.

What benefits will I see for my skin?

Clients will notice that skin feels more supple, hydrated with less lines and wrinkles after the first session. This benefits will improve over the next few sessions. Skin texture and tone will gradually improve. Wrinkles and lines become less visible. It also stimulates collagen and elastin production.

Who is suitable for this treatment?

It is an excellent anti-aging therapy as it has powerful regeneration and anti-inflammatory properties that help with skin healing, regeneration and renewal.

How often do I need to get the treatment done?

An initial course of 3 treatments, 3-4 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results. After the intensive course of treatment, you can repeat the treatment every 4-6 months to further maintain and enhance your skin quality.
